My Character: Khayylyn of the Seeker Clan
Iosian Warcaster (prev Mage Hunter)

Might sound like a paradox but mage hunters of Ios hate "human" spell casters, not those with pointy ears.

Khayylyn started life in the knowledge she had arcane ability but chose to hide it and didn't greatly develop her powers till she joined the Seekers as a Warcaster.

She learned her skills with the Scyrah specialising in assassination and ranged attacks using a crossbow. An above average agility has helped but she still has a long way to go in the arts of stealth and subterfuge.

In her early years as an adult (in Iosian years of course) she was separated from the Scyrah and spent a lot of time with an aged House Shyeel Battle Mage who helped her work on the arcane powers she had kept hidden. It was he who introduced Khayylyn to the Seekers and set her on a more righteous path.

She sports only light warcaster armour favouring quick movement and not getting hit and possesses a bonded mechanika assassins blade made for her by the Battle Mage elder, and a Crossbow sporting a light frame and bayonet.

Stat increases have been spent on Agility, Poise and Arcane Ability. Her natural ability bonus is crossbowman allowing her a rapid reload to increase rate of fire. She retains her connection to the Retribution and often still takes on work to keep her pockets lined with coin - powering her sword and armour have a cost you know.

She is working to develop both her subterfuge and magical skills in equal measure and is drafting plans for a light warjack to help bodyguard her on missions but to include stealth systems and a decent ranged threat weapon.

Looks wise like all Iosian's Khayylyn is slight of build, pretty of face with a distinctive eye tattoo. She has pure black hair mainly kept loose and flowing to just below the shoulders. She favours a cape and hood, and is mainly seen in dark leathers, skins and her distinctive elven (drow) styled armour enamelled in black. Being of Ios the boiler is steam powered but not by coal so is cheaper to run and cleaner having no steam stacks.

Its not however uncommon to see her wearing a more regal gown as she enjoys social occasion and comes from a quite wealthy family. When not in formal wear the only sigh you will see of her upbringing is a distinctive red silk scarf worn around her neck to hide scar given courtesy of a Nyss arrow that should have ended her life.

Had a few ideas, each of which I'm quite happy with. I need to do some work on expanding the background ideas for them (since I've not even named them yet) so this is more a bald statline than a full concept.


Human (Cygnaran) Gifted Knight Stone Sorcerer.
Phy 6, Spd 6(5), Str 5, Agi 4, Prw 5, Poi 4, Int 3, Arc 4, Per 3.
Defence: 13(10), Initiative: 14, Armour: 14(15 in front), Willpower: 9.
Abilities: Cleave, Defender.
Connections: (Knightly Order)
Military Skills: Great Weapon 1, Hand Weapon 2, Shield 1.
Occupational Skills: Command 1, Detection 1, Etiquette 1, Lore (Knightly Order) 1, Survival 1.
Spells: Battering Ram, Solid Ground [Would like to swap for Stone Strength if allowed], Stone Stance.
Archetype benefit: [If spell swap not allowed, Additional Study: Stone Strength]. Fast Caster
Gear: Full Plate, Caspian Battle Blade, Mace, Shield, Backpack, Bedroll, 5 days military rations, Water skin.

[This guy is basically a tanky sort. Not sure on the weapons yet - since he is better with a Hand Weapon I'd probably prefer a Sword, but I can't then afford the Battle Blade to Cleave with. The idea is that he's recently developed his magical talent and it's a more intuitive power, hence why I haven't pumped his Int. Would be inclined to pick one or two spells at most, but aiming for Shield Slam and Press the Attack as he levels]

Human (Llaese) Skilled Duellist Pistoleer
Phy 5, Spd 7, Str 4, Agi 4, Prw 4, Poi 5, Int 3, Per 4.
Defence: 15(14), Initiative: 15, Armour 10, Willpower 8.
Abilities: Fast Draw, Gunfighter, Parry, Return Fire, Riposte.
Military Skills: Hand Weapon 1, Pistol 2.
Occupational Skills: Detection 1, Gambling 1, Intimidation 2, Jumping 1, Sneak 1.
Archetype: Virtuoso
Gear: 5gc, an ammo bandolier, pair of repeating pistols (each with one ammo wheel and ammo for 10 shots), armoured great coat, Backpack, Bedroll, 5 days military rations, Water skin, ammo wheel, 20 shots, ammo bandolier, scope and bayonet on one pistol, gun brace

[Doing a character with two guns feels like a lot of fun, so I wanted to do one that wasn't actually a caster. Riposte and Return Fire means that if people miss, he'll punish them (so increasing his Def is priority 1). I want to pick up Dodger, Two Weapon Fighting and Ambidextrous as he goes, so he can essentially dance through enemy lines, taking 4 shots a round]

Human (Ordic) Mighty Bounty Hunter Spy
Phy 5, Spd 7, Str 4, Agi 4, Prw 5, Poi 4, Int 4, Per 3.
Defence: 14(13), Initiative: 15, Armour 10, Willpower: 9.
Abilities: Battle Plan: Shadow, Binding, Cover Identity (Ranger, Survival), Language (Five Cant), Take Down.
Military Skills: Hand Weapon 2, Crossbow 1.
Occupational Skills: Command 1, Deception 1, Detection 2, Disguise 1, Intimidation 1, Rope Use 1, Sneak 1, Tracking 1.
Archetype: Beat Back
Gear: 6gc, forged identity papers. Leather Armour, Mace, Crossbow (10 bolts), Quiver, 2 Daggers, Manacles, Spyglass, Great Coat, Backpack, Bedroll, 5 days military rations, Water skin, fountain pen and inkwell, 10 paper sheets, Compass, 20ft hemp rope, piton and hammer.

[This is the concept I'm most happy with. The idea is that he's one of the Ordic King's spies (I forget his name) who has developed a cover as a guide who occasionally hunts bounties for money. This cover allows him to travel across borders with ease, using the excuse of tracking down wanted criminals. He's best suited to bashing his targets over the head with a big meaty weapon, although he does come with a nice mix of skills for non hitting situations]
